Item Nuevos espacios para el consumo: las primeras Grandes Tiendas de la ciudad de Rosario (Argentina) en la década de 1920(Histoire(s) de l’Amérique Latine, Université Sorbonne Nouvelle, Paris 3, 2012-12) Cutruneo, Jimena PaulaEn la década de 1920, efecto del proceso de modernización presente desde algunas décadas atrás, se produjo en el centro de la ciudad de Rosario una drástica renovación arquitectónica que trasformó su fisonomía. Un caso especialmente representativo de las mencionadas transformaciones arquitectónicas fueron los espacios para el consumo que inauguraron la incorporación de la espacialidad interior a los ya habituales recorridos y paseos comerciales de la burguesía local. En este artículo se analizarán los aportes singulares de tres obras poniendo el acento en las innovaciones que las mismas produjeron en el momento de su construcción. En este sentido, se hará hincapié en un tema poco explorado de estos edificios: la concepción espacial, las resoluciones materiales de la misma y las ideas que las atraviesan, como elemento distintivo de su contribución histórica y arquitectónica a la ciudad de Rosario.
