Abstract
Description
Argentina, particularmente a partir
del aumento de la pobreza en el
contexto socio histórico de finales
de siglo XX y comienzos del XXI
In the present article, we intend to analyze the research that Javier Auyero and Nicolás Iñigo Carrera made about the looting episodes during the 2001 crisis. The authors, from different theoretical perspectives, give a characterization and define the groups that carried out these actions; understanding them in the framework of a social protest cycle. Moreover, we will try not only to describe their works, but also to present some elements to analyze them. The purpose is not to make a neutral comparison of the each author contributions; on the contrary, we will describe their conceptualizations, place them in debate, and consider the contributions they make to the study of the social protest in the contemporary Argentina, specially considering the increasing of poverty towards the end of the 20th century and the beginning of the 21st
