Abstract
La idea de establecer un diálogo entre Marcia Schvartz y
Frida Kahlo proviene de algunos aspectos de sus trabajos.
En otras palabras, la cantidad de flores que aparecen en
dos retratos pintados por Schvartz, un autorretrato de Frida
y un fotografía donde Kahlo está rodeada por un contexto
similar al de las pinturas de Schvartz. Estas imágenes son el
punto de partida de este artículo y, la pintora argentina, su
eje central. Hacer conexiones entre la obra de Schvartz y la
de otros artistas, como Frida Kahlo y Henri Matisse, nos has
permitido encontrar muchas coincidencias en la manera de
representar motivos afines. Por ejemplo, la obra de Matisse,
una figura representativa del modernismo europeo, nos ha
dejado poner a foco diferentes perspectivas sobre la visión
femenina y la mirada masculina en relación con la mujer como
modelo artístico.
The idea of establishing a dialogue between Marcia Schvartz and Frida Kahlo came from some aspects of their works. In other words, the amount of flowers that appears in two portraits painted by Schvartz, a self-portrait of Frida and a photograph where Kahlo is surrounded by a similar context to the Schvartz's paintings. These pictures are the starting point of this paper and, the argentinian painter, his central issue. Making connections between Schvartz's work and other artists' ones, as Frida Kahlo and Henri Matisse, has allowed us to find a lot of coincidences in the way of representing similar motifs. For example, the work of Matisse, a representative figure of the European modernism, has led us focusing different perspectives on the femme vision and the male look with regard to woman as artistic model.
