dc.description	En este artículo analizamos la organización del “campo psi” en la ciudad de Rosario durante la primera mitad del siglo XX. Se discute la propuesta de otro autor que identifica en esta etapa dos grupos de médicos enfrentados que representaban, según su interpretación, a dos concepciones distintas y opuestas de la psiquiatría. Por un lado, una concepción de la psiquiatría como disciplina subordinada a la neurología, y por otro, una que la consideraba como una especialidad con rango propio, prestando atención a las cuestiones sociales, en el marco democrático y progresista de la época. El análisis de los hechos ocurridos y de la producción escrita de los médicos que participaron nos permite proponer que el enfrentamiento entre los grupos seguramente existió, pero que los motivos de las disputas habrían sido principalmente de carácter institucional y de orden político. Los actores implicados expresaban ideas similares en el plano científico y en las prácticas terapéuticas. Podemos concluir que las supuestas controversias analizadas con respecto a distintas concepciones de la psiquiatría y de sus vinculaciones con las ciencias biológicas, no responderían centralmente a diferencias entre los actores del período analizado, sino más bien a interpretaciones posteriores al proceso histórico en cuestión.	es
dc.description	In this paper we analyze the organization of the “psych field” in the city of Rosario during the first half of the 20th century. Another author’s proposal is discussed, one that identifies in this stage two opposing groups of doctors who represented, according to his interpretation, two different and conflicting views regarding psychiatry. On the one hand, one conception of psychiatry as a discipline subordinated to neurology and, on the other hand, one that considered it as a specialty with its own status, paying attention to social matters, within the democratic and progressive framework of the period. The analysis of the events that took place and of the written production of the doctors who where involved in them allows us to suggest that the confrontation between the groups almost certainly existed, but that the motives of the disputes may have been mainly of an institutional and political nature. The actors involved expressed similar ideas on the scientific level and regarding therapeutic practices. We can conclude that the analyzed alleged controversies concerning different conceptions of psychiatry and their links to biological sciences would not essentially answer to differences among the actors in the period under analysis, but rather to interpretations subsequent to the said historic process.	es
