El autorretrato, entendido como un transgénero que recorre diversos
soportes, lenguajes y medios, ha sufrido, con la irrupción del arte moderno,
sucesivas desviaciones de la convención. En el arte contemporáneo aparecen
manifestaciones ligadas al arte objetual que parecieran estar vinculadas con la
autorrepresentación del yo, pero cuyos despliegues textuales ponen en duda
su dimensión genérica. Se pretende entonces analizar la producción de dos
artistas argentinos, Guillermo Iuso y Carlos Herrera, a partir de las estrategias
temáticas y retóricas involucradas en dichos fenómenos con el fin de establecer
las modificaciones en el pacto enunciativo que rompen con el efecto de
previsibilidad.
The Self Portrait, understood as a transgenre that covers various media and languages, has suffered with the emergence of modern art´s successive deviations the convention. In contemporary art object art manifestations that appear to be linked to the self- ego but whose textual displays cast doubt on those manifestations generic dimension. I analyze the production of two Argentine artists, Guillermo Iuso and Carlos Herrera, from the thematic and rhetorical strategies involved in such phenomena in order to establish changes in the pact that break without limitation the effect of predictability.
