El artículo explora el nexo arte-política a través de la indagación del
vínculo entre la práctica artística y la representación de los sectores populares.
Parte de algunas consideraciones propuestas por Jacques Rancière para
reflxionar en torno a la potencia política del arte al redistribuir las voces y
las miradas, los cuerpos y los espacios. En particular, el artículo elige dos fims
latinoamericanos contemporáneos, Cama adentro (Jorge Gaggero, 2004) y La
nana (Sebastián Silva, 2009), centrados en la fiura de la empleada doméstica.
Esta fiura se concibe como la clave para estudiar novedosas relaciones del
arte con la política cifradas en la valoración de lo doméstico y lo cotidiano.
The article explores the relationship between art and politics through the exploration of the link between artistic practice and the representation of popular sectors. The article begins by considering Jacques Rancière’s theoretical reflctions with the aim to think about the political power of art to distribute voices, viewings, bodies and spaces. In particular, this article focuses on two contemporary Latin American fims, Cama adentro (Jorge Gaggero, 2004) y La nana (Sebastián Silva, 2009), which deal with the fiure of the maid. This fiure is conceived as a key element to study new interconnections between art and politics based on the domestic and the everyday life.
