Este estudio enfoca el proceso constituyente de Bolivia y la construcción de propuestas de las mujeres, tanto constituyentes como de las organizaciones sociales e instituciones de la sociedad civil. Las mismas expresan la búsqueda de una mejor calidad de vida para las mujeres a través de la incorporación de derechos fundamentales de las mujeres para lograr la participación política igualitaria, una salud sexual y reproductiva que proteja a las mujeres, una educación no sexista y otras medidas que ayudarían a incluir a la mujer de manera plena al Estado. La nueva Constitución Política del Estado, aprobada después del referéndum del 25 de enero del 2009, incluyó un importante número de artículos a favor de la equidad de género y la igualdad de oportunidades de las mujeres.
This research focuses on the contituent process in Bolivia and the construction of proposals on the part of women, constituent women as well as of social organizations and institutions of civil society. They voice the search for a better quality life for women by means of the incorporation of women´s basic rights to achieve an egalitarian political participation, sexual and reproductive health which protects women, a non sexist education and other measures that would help women to fully become part of the State. The new State Political Constitution, approved after the referendum of January 25th. 2009 includes an important quantity of articles in favour of gender equity and equal opportunities for women.
