El presente trabajo se propone una lectura de la relación imagen-pensamientociudad en el último libro de Juan Bautista Ritvo, Venezia, (2017). Dicha propuesta nos
permite pensar de qué modo la figura del ensayista, a lo largo de la extensa obra de Ritvo,
se ha ido modificando desde una escritura del despliegue conceptual, hasta llegar a una
escritura de la sensación como experiencia, la cual, entre otras cosas, permite llevar
adelante el cruce de diversos registros: biografía, erudición, psicología, poesía, filosofía,
pintura. De este modo, las imágenes de ciudad, espacio en donde el pensamiento se vuelve
descomposición, podrían pensarse como una sostenida denegación del territorio de lo
literal.
The present work proposes a reading of the image-thought-city relationship in the last book by Juan Bautista Ritvo, Venezia, (2017). This proposal allows us to think about how the figure of the essayist, throughout the extensive work of Ritvo, has been modified from a writing of the conceptual unfolding, until arriving at a writing of the sensation like experience, which, among others things, allows to carry forward the crossing of diverse registers: biography, erudition, psychology, poetry, philosophy, painting. In this way, the images of the city, space where thought becomes decomposition, could be thought of as a sustained denial of the territory of the literal.
