Este artículo pretende explorar la inserción socio-ocupacional de los migrantes en la ciudad de Neuquén. Este problema es abordado a partir del estudio de tres mil quinientas actas matrimoniales pertenecientes a la Dirección Provincial de Registro Civil. Esta clase de documentación nos ofrece un enorme caudal de información que, alejado del «orden de los tabulados», permite realizar agrupamientos ad hoc, muy útiles para examinar las competencias de ciertos grupos migratorios. El trabajo describe, en primer lugar, el mercado laboral neuquino entre 1960 y 1990. En una segunda parte, se compara la distribución ocupacional de los nativos y los migrantes. Por ultimo, se utiliza un cristal de mayor aumento para dar cuenta de las opciones profesionales de los migrantes del interior neuquino, de otras provincias y de quienes llegaban de Chile.
This article intends to explore the occupational insertion of the migrants in the city of Neuquén. This problem is approached by the study of three thousand five hundred matrimonial documents pertaining to the Registry Office of the Province of Neuquén. This type of documentation offers an important volume of information that, separated from the «statistics order», allows to create ad hoc groupings, which are very useful to examine the competitions of certain migratory groups. The work describes, first, the labour market of the city of Neuquén between 1960 and 1990. In the second part, the occupational distribution of the native and the migrants is compared. Finally, it is analyzed the professional options of the migrants of the inland, of other provinces and of Chile.
