En 1943, en su
antología Poetas sociales de la
Argentina, Álvaro Yunque ubicaba al
santafesino José Pedroni bajo la rúbrica
de “poetas del descontento
campesino”; categoría que situaba dos
escalones antes que la de “poetas
comunistas”, el eslabón más alto de la
“poesía social”. No obstante, la
destacada visibilidad que cobra la
poesía de Pedroni en las principales
revistas del PCA, o ligadas a su órbita,
en la década del 50, parece indicar un
rápido desplazamiento ascendente
hacia el lugar de “poeta comunista”. En
este artículo indago la centralidad de
Pedroni en el marco de los programas
literarios que formulan, discuten y
promueven los escritores e intelectuales
del PCA en los años 50. Tanto la figura
pública que construyó Pedroni como
las búsquedas expresivas y temáticas de
su poesía, asociadas a lo que Amaro
Villanueva define en un artículo sobre
su obra como el “verdadero color
local”, constituyeron un anclaje
ejemplar de esos programas que, en el
contexto de la recepción de la doctrina
zhdanovista, llamaban de recuperar las
tradiciones nacionales y promovían la
“identificación fraternal” con los
“dramas” del pueblo.
In 1943, in his anthology Poetas sociales de la Argentina, Álvaro Yunque placed the poet from Santa Fe, José José Pedroni, under the rubric of “poets of rural displeasure”; category that placed two steps before that of “communist poets”, the highest link in “social poetry”. However, the prominent visibility that Pedroni’s poetry takes on the mains journals of PCA, or linked to its orbit, in the 1950s, seems to indicate a fast upward shift towards the place of “communist poet”. In this article I investigate the Pedroni’s centrality in the framework of the literary programs that formulate, discuss and promote the writers and intellectuals of the PCA in the 50s. The public figure that Pedroni built and the expressive and thematic searches of his poetry, associated what Amaro Villanueva defines in an article about his work as the “true local color”, constituted an exemplary anchoring in those programs that, in the context of the reception of the Zhdanov’s doctrine, called to recover national traditions and promoted the “fraternal identification” with the people’s “dramas”.
