Abstract
This report answers the question on how the external perception of the main news media about the foreign policy expectations on Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner’s second term and the Mauricio Macri’s presidency is constructed. In order to answer this question, this report analyzes the content of the most popular American, Spanish, Brazilian and British international newspapers. It is hypothesized that there is a fairly homogeneous perception in the selected newspapers, and that they create their concepts on governments based on pre-existing images, comparing their speeches and expectations with their concrete actions of domestic and foreign policy. Likewise, it is believed that the focus is not on foreign policy, and that the media do not place Argentina in the position it believes it occupies.
