Abstract
Este fascículo de la colección “Ediciones de aquí a la vuelta” dirigida por Rubén Naranjo, sintetiza las investigaciones realizadas en los años 80 en el CURDIUR de la Facultad de Arquitectura, sobre la historia material de la ciudad de Rosario, sus barrios y la vida urbana, su arquitectura cotidiana y monumental, los proyectos y planes urbanos, las transformaciones del puerto, la incidencia del ferrocarril y el tranvía. Se detiene en las gestiones municipales más progresistas y las trayectorias de sus principales instituciones. Fue pensada como una edición para el público en general y un instrumento didáctico para iniciar a los niños y jóvenes en el conocimiento de su ciudad.
This issue of the series "Histories around the corner" directed by Ruben Naranjo, summarizes the research conducted in the 80s in the CURDIUR of the Faculty of Architecture, on the material history of the city of Rosario, its neighborhoods and urban life, the houses and the monumental architecture. It also refers to the urban plans and projects, the port, the incidence of the railways and the tram. It deals with the action of the most progressive majors and the trajectories of its main institutions. This small book was designed for the general public and as educational tool to introduce young pupils in the knowledge of their city.
