Item De Penélopes, arañas y tejedoras: imágenes de mujer en Stichus de Plauto(Centro de Estudios Latinos "Prof. Beatriz Rabazza", 2021-11-25) Maiorana, DaríoStichus comienza in medias res con la mención de Penélope, lo cual religa la obra, por una operación paródica, con todo el linaje textual y mítico que se instancia a partir de la reina de Ítaca como parte del ciclo de la Odisea. En este trabajo analizaremos el componente simbólico del mito de Penélope ligado a la actividad femenina del tejido y cómo la mención a las arañas y a la destrucción de sus telas operan como una imagen de la pérdida del poder de las esposas y la restauración del orden masculino, es decir, cómo el poder fálico se traslada y, al hacerlo, vuelve a confinar a las esposas en el interior del hogar.
